How do I import instruments from spreadsheets?
ToolLedger supports CSV and Excel import with automatic column mapping. Upload your spreadsheet, map your columns, and your instruments are ready in minutes. Swedish column headers are also supported.
What happens when I reach the Free plan limits?
Your data stays safe. You can still view and export everything, but adding new instruments or users requires upgrading to Professional. No data is ever deleted.
How do audit trails work?
Every change to instruments, calibrations, and settings is logged with a tamper-evident audit trail. Each entry records who made the change, when, and what was modified. Audit logs are exportable for compliance reviews.
Can I export all my data at any time?
Yes. You own your data. Export everything as CSV, Excel, or PDF at any time — instruments, calibration history, audit logs, and certificates. No lock-in.
Does ToolLedger support ISO 17025 workflows?
ToolLedger is built for ISO 17025 environments. It supports calibration traceability, measurement uncertainty documentation, interval management, and audit-ready reporting. It does not grant ISO certification — that requires an accreditation body.
Can we manage multiple sites and rooms?
Yes. ToolLedger supports multi-site organizations with location hierarchies (sites, buildings, rooms, positions). Each instrument tracks its current location and custody.
Does the QR/barcode scanner work on mobile?
Yes. The scanner works in any modern mobile browser — no app installation needed. Point your camera at a QR code or barcode to instantly pull up the instrument record.
How do you handle tenant separation and permissions?
Each organization runs in a fully isolated tenant with row-level security. Within a tenant, role-based access control (Admin, Manager, Technician, Viewer) determines who can read, write, or approve data.
How are calibration certificates stored?
Upload PDF certificates directly to calibration events. Certificates are stored securely and linked to the specific instrument and calibration record. They are included in compliance exports.
How do we contact support?

Can I switch plans anytime?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your account settings. When upgrading, you get immediate access to the new features. When downgrading, your current plan stays active until the end of the billing period.
Is there a contract?
No long-term contracts. The Free plan is free forever. Professional is billed monthly or annually — cancel anytime. Enterprise agreements are customized to your needs.
How does billing work?
Professional plans are billed at the start of each billing cycle. Annual billing is charged once per year. You receive an invoice via email for every payment. Enterprise billing terms are agreed during onboarding.
Do you offer discounts for annual billing?
Yes. Annual billing saves you roughly 20% compared to monthly billing. The Professional plan is $89/month when billed annually.
